So I am a huge fan of "America's Next Top Model" and I especially enjoy all the shoots they do. One shoot they did was shooting with objects to create shadows/shapes on the models. Well, my friend Lyndi and I thought we should try it too. So we did. Here they are.

So I have been longing to do some art-maybe it's because it is the start of a new school year and so many of my friends and family members are going back to school...or maybe it is just because I want to. Anyways, here is one of my good friend Hayley.

Wilks Family and Fender

Well, what can I say about this family other than they are awesome. I have been photographing them for years now, and I love it. Seth works for Fender-and is obviously a big fan so we did a "Fender" themed-shoot. Lily is such a ham for the camera, I really think this girl could have a future as an entertainer of some sort. Anyways, there are so many-I had a hard time narrowing down! It was so good to see you guys again, hope you like your pictures:)

I have just been going through some old work recently and came across this quote in one of my sketchbooks. I was thinking of all the creative effort and preparation (not to mention hours in a dark room) I used to put into my school assignments. School is a unique time where you are surrounded by others who push, support and inspire you. Don't get me wrong, I still put a lot of thought and time into everything I shoot-but I think I can do better, and I would like to push myself more artistically.

This is a photoshop assignment from years ago-back in the days of scanning film and then using photoshop. I can see lots of imperfections, after all I had just started to learn about photoshop-but I like the humor in this picture.

Art History and Photography

I have always been in love with art history and art in general. So for my senior project (which was almost 2 years ago now) I decided to take my love for art history and photography and combine them. I wanted to capture the general pose, lighting, and symbols-but not make the photographs look like paintings. My sister Jolene was my model for this series, and they range from 11x14" to 4x5'.
